Silicone-based surfactant BYK-3420

BYK-3420: A silicone-based surfactant for water-based inkjet inks and other water-based materials, highly effective in reducing surface tension.

The new BYK-3420 is stable against hydrolysis, and even under high temperatures (60°C) or varying pH conditions, the surface tension of the formulation remains unchanged after storage. It significantly reduces surface tension without stabilizing foam, promoting wetting on particularly challenging substrates. BYK-3420 complies with the Swiss chemical regulations and Nestlé guidelines, and it is not labeled as SVHC.
